HC Jeff Joseph and DC Matt McDaniel are both defensive gurus. Coach Joseph even coached defense at the college level. But McDaniel is fully deserving of the credit. Proud to have Matt McDaniel in PN TX.

Don't get me wrong, I love offense and putting up 40+ points per game, but the more impressive stat to me is the 2025 PN-G Defense only gave up 15.9 points per game. In 2025, with teams spreading the field, running all types of offenses, and throwing the ball all over the yard, the PN-G defense only gave up 15.9 points per game. You could play live games against the PN-G JV and Freshman teams and they are likely to put up two scores. In 2025, to hold varsity teams to an average of 15.9 points, that's a top-notch defense. Take a bow, Matt McDaniel. Your defense kicked some ass in 2025. Take a bow, OC Gizzi, your offense lit up the scoreboards! Great coaches, great kids! GO INDIANS!

It’s the standards for an NFL team , but includes principles that a high school team could benefit from. (Not posted with intention of suggesting the coaching approach. More so the player commitment.)

Two or more wrongs don’t make a right. Beyond transfers, there is the competitive advantage that Dallas ISD allows and pursues with intradistrict school selection. That alone should be a disqualifier. But until the state and UIL value a level playing field, and actually make the notion of classifications meaningful, this farce will continue. In the meantime hundreds of one school towns that follow the rules will be at a disadvantage playing within the defined classification that they were assigned to.
