Transfers

Of course he doesn’t believe in common sense rules that take away his advantages. It takes having access to all the players from the second largest district in the state, and all the out of district transfers he can gather to win.
What a lot of people do not understand is that those kids can transfer schools all they want, they just can't/shouldn't be allowed to transfer for athletic purposes. The UIL athletic system is not set up for that; there are other schools/divisions that are. There are private schools all over the country that allow transfers for athletic purposes. Apparently, coaches and some UIL members do not understand THIS concept either. They are masters at using Loopholes to allow transfers to stack their teams. IF they wanted to get out of their current school for a better opportunity/better schools then they could do that no problem, but most of these kids/parents are chasing a championship and UIL is designed to prevent that.

Transfers

Some people are dead set against rules, laws, standards, and the enforcement of all of the above. In all phases of life. Criminals, fraudsters, con-artists, cheaters, etc are only concerned with their personal objectives. “Rules for thee, trophies for me.”

Rules have been established. For good and proper reasons. And they need to be enforced.

Interesting note. All the older generation citizens, many of them no longer with us, would refer to Groves as ‘The Groves’.

A city with a unique history and heritage.
