Are you referring to the hiring of Scott Rich and the dynamic that presents with Jeff Joseph’s Katy roots? I personally think Rich will have Nederland in fighting shape within three seasons. If PN-G and Nederland become frequent sights in the DCTF rankings, MCM will be the marquis rivalry in Texas. -

^ This. 100%. Too many Texas HS coaches try to be Texas Tech or Mack Brown’s version of Texas. SOC tries to be Alabama. To beat Alabama, you have to make like Georgia or Steve Sarkisian’s version of Texas and adapt the Alabama blueprint to work for your program. (Yes, my bias is showing.) -
