We sold out Galena Park stadium for that game. The stadium staff were redirecting PN-G fans to the FBM side 30 minutes before kickoff. That was confirmed by the Port Arthur News.

If I recall correctly, ~3,500 tickets were sold on the Liberty Hill side at Legacy last year. I’d expect LH to bring around 3,000 fans this year. There should be plenty of room for extra PN-G fans - and I expect we’ll take it up.

I don’t have an official count, but I’ve seen a media estimate of 10K-12K on the PN-G side and under 2K on the Huntsville side.

Thirteen thousand, but it’s lopsided. Eight thousand on the home side versus 5,000 on the visitors’ side.

GAME DAY: PN-G Indians (12-1) vs Huntsville Hornets (8-5)

I take your point about holding and I get that we don’t want refs over-calling that penalty at the high school level. That being said, I saw Huntsville’s defense come up with a fistful of purple jersey and get a way with it a lot last night. That should always be called. It seemed to me...

GAME DAY: PN-G Indians (12-1) vs Huntsville Hornets (8-5)

I’m conflicted over how to feel about the penalties last night. On the one hand, that’s some of the worst officiating I’ve seen this season at any level - high school, college or professional - and I watched last week’s Iron Bowl. The refs gave Huntsville a touchdown on that drive with the three...

On a related note, I’m only going to say this once for the local reporters I know are watching: The Houston Chronicle is owned by Hearst, the same parent company of the Beaumont Enterprise. In their latest round of high school football articles, the Chronicle’s sports staff haven’t hesitated to...

NEXT GAME: PNG (12-1) vs Huntsville Hornets (8-5)

This point doesn't get enough attention, in my opinion. And we don't need to show more of our playbook until we really need to show more of our playbook, if you get my drift.

From the Padilla Poll via Ashly Elam. Much more realistic and, in my opinion, much better.

And how does Bryan Rudder end up in our district and not with Bastrop and the Austin schools right down the road?

NEXT GAME: PNG (12-1) vs Huntsville Hornets (8-5)

If we get NRG this week, don’t count us out to pull a 1999-level crowd. Through the third round of the playoffs, our crowds have been noticeably bigger this season.

NEXT GAME: PNG (12-1) vs Huntsville Hornets (8-5)

That was the first high school game played at NRG post-COVID. When that game was played, NRG was hesitant about allowing high school games post-COVID because they weren’t sure enough fans would show up to turn a profit. They started with a PN-G game because they knew we’d bring more fans than...
