Starting on the road at a big 6A in Klein Oak--over 3500 students. Home against Lake Creek (but early in the season). Home for MCM.

What's everyone's thoughts?

I think it played out pretty well for us. Did not want to play Lake Creek there. Huntsville will be a tough road game.

Starting off district with what will most likely be the best two teams. Not my preference. On the other hand, if we win both games we will be sitting pretty in the district race.

Starting district with LC and Huntsville back-to-back will be a big challenge. If we can win those two tough games right out of the gates, the district championship is coming home to PN-G. Go Indians!

PNG Indians will have their hands full with next season's schedule, I'm thinking. Best wishes, and best of luck to the new, 2024, Indians. They'd better be ready.

I think we’ll see a more potent passing attack and potentially more running from Bailey. Running backs and line should be solid. The X factor is having another couple of receivers step up and help spread the field.

Front seven of the defense will be tough. Biggest loss is 3 very good defensive backs and the NG position.

I agree, we lost some very good DBs, although the DBs were the weakest spot on the very very good defense last season, and I was surprised that SOC didn't try to throw more, especially after watching the Liberty Hill film. But anyway, of the 4 inside LBs from last season, 3 are graduating in a couple of weeks, and the 4th is reportedly missing spring training due to a non-contact injury. That said, I believe the offense will continue to be very strong.

The development of the secondary over a one year time frame was the most impressive I’ve seen in a good while following HSFB all these years.

I saw all of them from the year before definitely “go getters”
(Most on kickoff team and second string DBs) but they went from boys to men over the off season especially Droddy.
Looking forward to seeing how the tough red headed kid looks especially since I’ve noticed (can’t miss that hair) him since a freshman (in fact seeing him ATTENDING games thinking to myself “that’s the kid in the freshman team photo”)
I don’t have the privilege of seeing them around the community daily haha.
I always see the kids with their PNGYFA jerseys making note “remember that one he’ll be a biggun’ in 6-7 years.”

I always say “nowhere like PNG”
But NO school turns the little wiry smaller frame kids into beasts like PNG - NO ONE They would have moved to soccer or lately Lacrosse

At no other 5A school would you see a player like Scroggs (sp?)
In no reality would you look at him and think
Probably a bad ass LB
(Defensive MVP on a state championship team)
But he is - he absolutely was a game changer
(And largely unnoticed until I watched the game knowing he was the DMVP) made several TD saving tackles recovered fumble AND onside kick) these are kids other schools don’t even have on the roster.
