Klein Oak
Not a good team compared to other 6A
Probably similar to when we played Clear Lake several years ago

LaPorte on the other hand will be good this year first breakout year since they beat Katy
New stadium though we play them at home

I call it LaPort Neches
Very similar town to PN

WOW, DCTF (Matt Stepp) is predicting Huntsville to be Regional Champion over South Oak Cliff.
So he has us losing out as well lol

Wow ... that's a bold prediction.
PN-G offense should be better this season.Adams and Nguyen were big losses but there are some good options to step in along with growth of returning starters to continue moving the ball well.

PN-G defense needs to fill the shoes of 3 defensive backs and a nose tackle. The other positions should fill in nicely.

How does Huntsville matchup this year? What are their strengths?

The 2024 Indians will miss #33 and #19. Need to find a fast, shifty, and durable RB that doesn't fumble to go with the physical running style of #15. Need some WRs to step up and take the pressure of #11. #33 was such a dependable RB. He never fumbled. Not once in 2023. #19 made huge catches in the playoffs. In the state championship game alone, #19 was the go-to guy. He converted three or four first downs with big-time catches over the middle against physical SOC DBs. In the pressure situations, #33 and #19 showed up and played their best ball. Can't wait to see who steps up.

Matt “Stepp-child” would rather be WRONG than ever give us any credit or accolades! I have family in Huntsville…long time Athletic Boosters and season ticket holders who are also good friends with Coach Southern…FANTASTIC guy btw! We talked football a little at the family 4th of July party and they’d probably roll their eyes at that predication too…lol!

Stepp talks about how much Huntsville is returning. Only 1 more starter than the Indians though. And PNG has multiple ‘non-starters’ who saw a lot of playing time and contributed. And the entire team benefitted from practicing and playing a 16 week season.

We shall see, but I wouldn’t bet against the defending state champion regardless of what Stepp writes.
