Yeah containing the twins is the task to the success against Crosby. They also have a very good receiver. Tall. I think Rose will have to cover him on Defense.

I bet ya alot of money that BF and coaches are studying the game films of Dayton and Summer Creek. Looks like Dayton played them close, even in a down year. Crosby can be beat. Just have to have the right game plan. I watched the Crosby-Kingwood park game. KP moved the ball well when they ran the hurry up offense on Crosby and then they got away from it. Thats when Crosby was able to force punts. Should be a great game. Just have to contain the twins and keep Singleton covered. Tall order but it can be done.

Oh yeah, on another note. PNG Defense has been playing great football. Seems we have alot of speed on the Defensive side of the ball. Keep it up boys. Ya'll can beat Crosby. Team play is the key. GO NDN'S !!!!!!

Below is a comment from a Crosby poster from another Board.

You can warn them all you want Tex, they just won't listen. This puppy is going to end up just like Wounded Knee did. They've played 4 decent 4a teams this year and were completely dominated in all but one of those games. Rose is really the only chance PNG has at making big plays and Aaron Brown might neutralize him. The 56 carries totaling 84 yards Halfin had on SC and Ned have me worried. Lol. Our running back averages over 220 yards a game in less than 3 quarters of play and ran for over 400 yards on Ned and SC with way less carries. Our qb will be the best they've seen all year besides Sharp and that's debatable. PNG will have no defensive answers for Crosby as you can see from the 49+ we've scored every game besides Dayton on the storm night. I felt it when I saw the matchup and I still feel it now. Cougs roll the Indians in the post-peace pipe era.

That particular poster tees me off so bad. Most polls have Crosby out the second round, losing to Elgin. Lets make it a round earlier. I honestly think we have played tougher teams here in 20 4A then they have in 19 4A. They think if they shut Rose down that's it. We have more weapons. We have the leading passer in 20 4A. We can do this!

SCALP'EM INDIANS!

No penalties, no turnovers, no missed tackles, no missed blocks will go a long way towards a win. And the QBs need to be on target all night.

So they need to be perfect for 48 minutes. Tall order. I say the old bend but dont break defense wil not work against the Cougs. Gotta make some plays behind the LOS to get them away from their running game and then force a few three and outs by keeping Walters in the pocket on third and long.
Key is gotta score each possesion against their one weakness...defense.

And pressure the Crosby Quarterback to keep him out of sync.

Highlights from Crosby vs Nederland
Nederland vs Crosby Highlights 8/30/2013

If you haven't seen Crosbys RB in action, check it out. He shredded Nederlands Defense. Very shifty and fast. You get one chance to tackle him, then hes off and going. The QB is nothing like the Summer Creek QB Sharpe. This one will take off on you. Sharpe likes to be comfortable in the pocket, Walters can make plays happen.

The good news is, they DID let Nederland put 35 on them. Take into consideration that this was the 1st game in preseason. So I imagine Crosbys Defense has improved.

We have the #1 passer in 20 4A and the best WR, our RB is nothing to turn your nose up at either. We have many weapons. Shut the running game down and we have a chance.

I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!

I've seen a lot of football games, and I'm pretty sure I've never seen all that by any team at any level...A Tall order indeed!

Slippery little Red Devils aren't they. The one thing that gets overlooked because those two are so good at what they do is the fact that the Crosby OLine is tremendous...Those two have huge holes to run through which allows them to get to full speed quickly and once there they are almost unstoppable. Most impressive watching the Line do its thing against the hosses Nederland has up front on D. Hope our boys can fill those gaps.

one thing I notice from all the games they played , teams can score on them other than the last game they played. I believe if we drive the ball down the field and use the clock to our advantage (5 plus mins to score ) we keep their OFF, off the field.. from the look of their games scores they score big, never close games, if it comes down to a close game I believe we have the coolness and not panic if we need to drive to win a game. And another thing I believe is Crosby will think we are a pushover and come in with the big ego that they are going to dominate.. we shall see. just have to treat this game like the WOS game. gotta ignore the trash talking on the field and just perform
