It wasn't easy for the Indians, though. After their initial lead in the first quarter, they played from behind until the fourth quarter when Wuenschel scored a go-ahead touchdown with 9:52 left in the fourth quarter.
Texas High retook the lead late in the fourth quarter when quarterback David J. Potter connected with Oregon commit Tradarian Ball on a long touchdown pass to go up 28-24. But the momentum swung back to PNG as Wuenschel broke free on a Wildcat formation, putting the Indians ahead for good.
Mixing up formations, PNG showed some Wildcat, and Wuenschel, again, gave his team the lead. This time for good.
The Tigers had a chance to tie it up, but Franklin Delk's 33-yard field goal attempt was blocked with just 1:24 remaining in the game. Texas High was forced to burn its final two timeouts on defense, but the Indians sealed the win with a first down before lining up in the victory formation.
