Need to remember that Lee has put up 43, 27, and 21 points this season against other opponents. They also had 600 yards of offense against Waller. They were at about 350+ yards per game if I am not mistaken. I guess what Im trying to say is our defense did well to hold them to 174 yards

Sounds like the defense improved against a team that might be bad, but has run up big numbers as mentioned.

Also sounded like McGough stepped up big time as a reliable, goto receiver, and Cole Robinson did an admirable job at middle linebacker in place of Rembert.

Great team victory. Always nice to start off district with a W. Now we have an extra day of rest to get ready for next week!

Great win , great performance by the O and D.

Now for a few constructive words for the offensive line... I noticed on some replays and photos that some offensive linemen have a habit of engaging their block and then stopping and standing and watching as the play action continues past them. Until that whistle blows find someone in the other jersey color and block them! I've seen too many occasions where an unblocked defender will end up making the tackle or getting a last second hit that could hurt the ball carrier or cause a fumble. The field isn't a rest area, stay aggressive, help your teammates and go get another legal block! Either seal off the backside or downfield! (End of advice) :helmet::helmet:

I get kinda tired when players get hurt,we have to hear take a knee boy's hollered from the other side.I checked the rules and it's not required to do..Coach doesn't have them do it so..people...let it go..

Welcome to the board fan81. :welcome:

I totally agree. :stop: Now some yahoo has started crap on Facebook about it. People need to worry about more important issues than that!

Most people look at it as a respect and traditional type thing. You are right we don't have to, everyone else does--pretty much- it's like running up a score, no rule says you can't and most don't, but you can.

Coach BF can and will do what he wants, as he should, it's really all about opinion.

Older folks would hit a knee and not run up the score, but we are a dying breed -- no pun intended :sorry:
Probably the younger the less old time values hold true.

Kinda like our society. Look at youth league ball, there's your sign of what's coming up.

College and pro teams generally don't do it. As many opinions state, as long as a team is conducting itself repectfully it makes no difference. If I was a coach I'd rather my team keep their minds on the game
and not focus on the other teams injury. Bottom line, football is controlled violence and players get hurt. Those fans that focus on the trivial aspects need to get over it. Not taking a knee is not the expected standard in the sport.
