FINAL: PN-G Indians 63, Ennis Lions 29

Here are some fun (and in one case, weird) historical notes for y’all:

With this being his fifteenth playoff win at PN-G, Jeff Joseph now holds the all-time record for playoff games won as PN-G head coach.

Tonight’s final score of 63-29 marks the all-time high for points scored by the Indians during the Joseph era, breaking the 62 point high set by the Indians during last year’s 62-56 win over the Montgomery Lake Creek Lions.

Tonight’s final score also marks the first time in PN-G history the Indians have ended a ball game having scored 63 points. The Indians have scored 64 points in a game once before, and 62 points five times in school history, but never 63 points before tonight.

WRs, DBs, and special teams need some work. Too many drops, too many deep balls given up, and a KO return for a TD where I don't think the returner was touched. 3rd round through the 6th round, everyone you play will be good...very good. PN-G's OL was dominant. They steamrolled Ennis. Give a big hand and shoutout to the OL and TE/H-Backs. Impressive performance by the big guys. Impressive. Nice game by the new QB. He can make all the throws and he has some wheels. I'm guessing PN-G had 500 yards rushing tonight. Take a bow OL. GO INDIANS!!!

Sorry not true
Many people who completely rupture their ACL actually never get them fixed
The ACL has (I’m going to use the word Virtually here) no function in bearing weight vertically
It keeps the “tibia/fibula” from moving anterior to the femur
(Which is also the orthopedic test)
~sometimes~ In ACL injuries
The meniscus and medial collateral ligament are also torn along with the ACL -called the “unhappy triad” (in hits to the knee moving toward center when planted)
In those cases it’s actually the meniscus being completely ripped off the bone that makes weight bearing too painful.
But ACLs absolutely can be both painless and walkable (sometimes can be painful.

To clarify (as to not be technically incorrect) the meniscus is partially removed from the bone but not like what you’d think of in a regular “torn meniscus” it goes along with the MCL

Official: PNG vs Midlothian Heritage 11/28/25 4PM @Woodforest Bank Stadium in Conroe
Very nice stadium with plenty of parking. Fun fact from 2023... Huntsville snuck past Richmond Randle 14 - 13 at Woodforest after losing to them 35 - 6 during the regular season. Huntsville was a huge underdog going into that Regional Final. The next week, Huntsville lost to PNG 24 - 14 in the Quarterfinal game at NRG. We would have had our first test against Randle had they won the rematch.

You’re right…I worked in surgery for many years so I was thinking CB must not have torn his ACL since he wasn’t on crutches but my memory is a little foggy cause it’s been a while.

Overall VERY great outing for our boys,Let’s start with Ashworth WOW he’s got some speed our first TRUE dual threat since RJ and his arm while definitely needs a little improvement on accuracy he makes up for by having an absolute CANNON,90% of those dropped passes were because our WRs aren’t used to that much zip on the ball if they can get more accustomed to that it will help A LOT against SOC and other opponents! Do I even need speak on the O-Line and RBs,You couldn’t ask for a better game! Now the defense AMAZING I know I know “what about the coverage” yes our guys NEED to stop trying to get a pick every play,Make the play first then think about getting a pick but 2 of those busted plays were against backups so tis to be expected.I couldn’t be happier with this performance what a way to respond after all of the drama surrounding Bailey and his diagnosis all the noise from our own fans freaking out to Dave Campbell’s putting us on upset alert they showed the whole state WERE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!

Agree 100%. Given the circumstances, one of our best overall performances of the season. Play like we did in the first half for 4 quarters (minus the busted play) and the sky is the limit for this team!

Is Montgomery ISD stadium our REZ away from home? 3-0. In the 70s the Astrodome was our home turf.

PNG beat Crosby 72 - 69 in the first round of the playoffs in 2018. I'm sure that doesn't matter here because you are focusing on exact point totals for a Jeff Joseph team.

Given the records we have, the 93 yard run by Ashworth in the first quarter was the longest run in a varsity game by a QB in PN-G history.

I heard that NDN Press finally went back to youtube. The NFHS, or whatever, is horrible. I watched on Texan Live with no probs. UIL just needs to let our kids do it, on YouTube, and we'll donate a few $ back to UIL if that's the issue. BTW, it was hard to see the home side, did Ennis have much of a crowd?

Anyway, great game. Our secondary got a little overconfident I think, then a little sloppy, then in the last half of the 4th Qtr got it together, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd string notwithstanding. Back-up QB? No prob.
