FINAL: PN-G Indians 63, Ennis Lions 29

I wonder how the people who live in those homes across the street from the Montgomery stadium feel about hearing 'Cherokee' blaring into their living rooms 3 times this year! On the Texas Live broadcast our Band sounded really loud! I think they did a lot to keep the players and the fans pumped up during the game. I thought Ennis's band sounded good, too. It's too bad we couldn't hear both bands perform during the halftime.
The Ennis band and fans joined in on war chant multiple times,You could hear the Ennis band talking about how shocked they were with PNGs fans support some even tried dancing along with the Indian spirit. You could tell they have NEVER seen anything like PNG before and it just always makes me love my community even more!

I wasn't sure, but one time during the 4th qtr I thought I heard like a lone trumpet playing Cherokee and wondered if that was an Ennis band member trying their hand at the tune.
BTW, on line anyway, Ennis seemed like a pretty good coached team, although a few of the kids seemed to want a flag to be thrown for one reason or another fairly often. But certainly not SOC-like sportsmanship, which I dislike. I wish them well.
Further, the upcoming game with MH may be our last "clean" game, so to speak, I think. We'll have to see. But whether we get Terrell or (more likely) SOC, the game will be a dog fight, and our team had better be ready for it, like the '23 team was. We didn't play dirty, but we didn't take any s**t either.

Ennis radio broadcasters said there are
“hundreds” of them entering the field at halftime.

Yes I heard both he broadcast and the game in person
(Was driving up from Houston - made it to the stands the SECOND the lightning delay happened)
They must have mic’d up both bands because both were WAY UP HIGH (I like that) to our upper right (ENNIS their upper left)
The broadcast seemed louder IOW

Ennis audio only broadcast had over 12000 listeners during the game even though their crowd turnout was a few hundred without the band and spirit group.

Ennis was the typical small town football team who had some success and believed in themselves. A good indication of their confidence was the two senior linebackers speaking on the pregame show. They were full of fire and promising to stop the PN-G offense. In reality, they were very slow and easy to block. Those several long runs off the guard and tackle were the proof. Ennis was simply overmatched but have nothing to be ashamed of. They never stopped trying.
