That brought tears to my eyes. My lil Indians are still in elem., but I can just imagine the pride you have as you watch your son come out of the tunnel and take the field. I feel pride just watching from the stands and being apart of such a great community.

I have tears in my eyes.......The hair on the back of my neck is standing up......I have
goose bumps.....I am sweating heavily........DEFENSE & OFFENSE GO OUT FRIDAY NIGHT AND KICK SOME F---ING BEAR ASSES.....TAKE NO NAMES....JUST KICK ASS.....

PNGDAD8520 Your post put tears in my eyes too for I remember when my son first stepped on the field as a varsity defensive lineman. It is a feeling I will never forget. His dad had played as a running back many years before so that made it extra special. We are expecting a grandson in December and that little boy has had a PNG shirt since about an hour after we found out he is boy. I just hope we live long enough to see him play. Your sentiments as a parent of an Indian athlete will live as long as you do. You speak for so many. You will find that after your son has graduated and moved forward in his life that the memories you have made now will hold you together forever. Good luck to your DB. His intentsity for the game will serve him well for life.

Thank you sir, Legends never die ! and what a awesome blood line !

PNGDAD8520 I am the Mom but Dad feels the same way I do. I think I have figured out who your son is and enjoy watching him play. Something else I have learned thru the years and that is once you have had a son play Indian football all of the players become yours whether you know them or not. A lady recently asked me who I had playing and and I told her any young man who dons the Purple and White becomes part mine whether they know it or not. You will feel the same way I can promise.

This is a letter that I have gave my son to put in his locker...

As you get ready to play tonight, I want you to take what I
have to say in, I never could do what you are doing tonight,
your HEART and FIGHT is unreal to me ! When you do what
you do I want to scream out that is my boy ! The cool thing
about any sport is the game you are playing tonight is going
to be different from past games, But one thing is for sure, you
will do your job and do it WELL ! I want you to play for your
younger brothers tonight,I want them to see the way you play
and lead, I want you to play for your unborn kids (sounds silly)
but one day I will get to pull out newspaper clippings and videos,
and show them how awesome there dad was at football, When
you come out of that tunnel tonight know that I am there right by
you, I will allways have your back !When you take a knee to pray
to our lord, Know that I am praying the same thing you are. Your
coaches have conditioned you, But your SPEED,HEART,and SKILL
is something that you have put into motion !Now I understand
why you had RELENTLESS put in your woomp-em beads ! Now
you make the enemy understand what it means !

SCALP-EM !
This brought tears to my eyes as well. Your letter expresses the thoughts and feelings that so many PNG parents have felt for their kids. It's all about the experience, the HONOR, PRIDE AND TRADITION of being a part of PNG and the memories created. I do not have a son but as far as I'm concerned every young man (or young lady for that matter) that wears purple and white are my all mine. My daughter went to private school for 7 years, went to every PNG football game as a child and could not wait to become an INDIAN. She played soccer a couple of years for PNG. Although she had never played soccer until high school she grew up witnessing the HONOR, PRIDE AND TRADITION years before. The memories we both have as graduates of PNG are the best and last a lifetime. No doubt you, your son and your family will feel the same way.

P.S. Indians keeping the season good...those other teams we root for (Cowboys and Horns) not so good...its all riding on PNG.

You stated my sentiments exactly. Hubby played, oldest son played on state championship team in 75, youngest son played in the early 80's and I've been an avid supporter of all the Indians for years. People quit asking me who I have playing years ago; longtime fans just smile and they know.
