Would have been nice for their coaches to watch us practice. May have gotten some of the boys a scholarship offer.

Those views are amazing. I'm on the very top row and can't wait to get up there!

Picture this... Friday Night Experience is filming the game. Occasional shots are of the bridge in the distance, and views of the city park. Unfortunately the PN skyline consists of refinery towers. But even that will be an interesting shot. Playing at Indian Stadium will be an exciting event for media, home fans and even visiting fans. I'd bet that visiting fans will find the drive more worthwhile to see their teams in what will be the near equivalent of playoff type atmosphere. Fast forward to the day that the Riverfront is developed and the trip to Port Neches is even more eventful. Exciting times that all should be proud of and excited about.

A couple of other items to relay about Tour #2. That view of the bridge is right in the middle between the light poles on the visitors side. Perfect.
The curved seats are soooooo comfortable. These are really nice. Another nice surprise is the room. We are going to be very spoiled. We will not have to stand to let others walk down the aisle to get to their seats.

Now some pics from Saturday. We have a ton of workers today. Concrete poured early this morning. Those guys working on the stands should have that left side of the stadium matching the rest today. Workers were concentrating on the elevator, adding framing to the press box and roof work on the home side restrooms, concession and ticket booth. I like what I see.

The white area is the vertical piece between each walking surface or kick plate. Then they add the seat brackets, then the seats.
There will be no press box on the visitors side.

NDNband69, have you heard of any plans to possibly clean/sandblast the undersides of the visitors side stands and repaint to freshen up the look? And maybe steam clean the visitors seating to remove any accumulation of gunk on the seats? (I've heard complaints of that in the past.)

Way off topic, but here's what the AP has to say about how the game went.

I will check next time I see them. This is what I saw Monday. The gap on the top of the visitors stand has been filled in. All fencing around the visitors side has been replaced. Looks pretty good.

:). I would say so. That old press box looks like 70s era trailer home or something. Well past its prime.

Can't wait to hear Bob West and company raving about the new one.

The Reservation is going to be the place to be on Friday nights. Beaumont or Port Arthur can build a palace but it will never have the same type of game atmosphere as Port Neches.

Pics from 9/10/08. The ground level brick work around the elevator is in. On the visitors side, fencing has been installed separating the concourse aisle from the stands.

Everyone be very careful during this storm.

Storm update.

My brother went by the stadium today after the storm. It appears The New Reservation survived the storm just fine.

I went by the stadium today. Everything looks great. The scoreboard survived. There were workers there also. I wonder how fr behind we are now. Of all years to have twin evacuations, it has to be the one while we are building.

I have some pictures. I'll post them when I can get them on the Internet.

Ike evidently claimed some of the aluminum studs. Not too bad, all things considered.
