Really appreciate you putting the stats side by side like that. You don’t realize how comparable the two programs are until you see that.

But the stats also make clear PN-G has had the historical edge, especially in the playoffs.

I hope this doesn’t seem inappropriate or overly morose, but I’d like to take a moment to think of and remember friends, relatives, teachers and coaches that are no longer with us to celebrate this community week and game that’s so important to Port Neches, Groves and Nederland.

We are blessed every day that we can share this time, not only this week but any and every week with our friends and loved ones. Life is precious.

During that moment of silence at the game or over the radio or stream, remember them. And maybe cheer even louder and with extra intensity to represent them.

May all involved have a safe and blessed night and weekend. Win or lose, it’s great to be a part of it all. The community and the best darn high school rivalry in the nation.
