You know INDIAN NATION gonna be there EARLY so I wonder if they’ll let us in to watch some of the Newton game?

Looking more and more like the Indians absolutely need to o-line to power a ground and pound running game going forward. That and some quick hitting play action passes will go far.

Against a big play offense like TH, Indians need to control the scoreboard and clock.

The possibility of #4 seeing more time at running back is very intriguing. We need a tru power back to compliment the offensive line on every short yardage situation.

This TH team almost reminds me of PNG with RJ LETHAL offense but a struggling defense. They are definitely beatable but the Nederland game kinda throws me off cause I at least expected the dogs to put up somewhat of a fight!

I don’t think Texas High’s defense is struggling. If their defense is struggling, ours must be collapsing. Texas High will be the best team we have faced since SOC last year and our DBs this year are…suspect.

I wouldn’t say their defense is necessarily struggling, but the few fairly talented teams they’ve played did put up a lot of points on them so I think OUR defense will be the deciding factor in this one…good thing we got 2 of the BEST defensive minds in the state on our sideline!! All the chatter from a lot of their fans is pretty entertaining though!! They’re expecting a BLOW OUT win next Friday based primarily on the fact that Nederland beat us and TH blew them out!! They obviously don’t get the dynamics involved with MCM and you simply can NOT guage your odds against EITHER team by the outcome of THAT game!!

Agree. Irrelevant. Nederland played 10 feet over their heads to win the Mid-County Super Bowl while the Indians had their worst effort of the season. Nothing more, nothing less. The rest of the season was a measure of their strength. TH beat a 4th place district team.

I think we will beat TH but how we do it is

Mentally
We CANNOT have false start penalties
That will charge their batteries

If we score - hand the ball to the ref and go single file off the field
That will demoralize them
They play playground football (not saying they have bad coaching) but it’s always fly by the seat of the pants
Sometimes chaotic but also high risk
If we make them run more than 6-7 plays on a series it’s to our advantage
In other words no big plays
Bagwell says you have to sit on the fast ball

We have to sit on the quick slant (to Fast Ball)(T Ball) all skill players are track stars (whether they run or not) that’s always been the case for decades. (No one knows why)
I believe the coach made the OL lose weight over the off season they’ve been fat for the last couple of seasons.

their third string RB #19 would start for most teams.

Make Potter find his second and third reads and make him throw OVER (outside) the coverage not allow them to slip under

If that happens consistently we win.

As much as some might hate it
Pooch kick KO all night long do NOT kick to Ball under any circumstances. He’s the #2 2026 RB in the nation for good reason believe me
He had a lot of playing time as a Freshman in a very good backfield
