Just FYI for those going to the game…

Link to purchase tickets should be posted Monday and any left over on Friday will be available to purchase at the gate, but I wouldn’t depend on that because their visitor side isn’t that big….holds a little over 2000 I think.

They have designated home/visitor parking lots with no access to opposite side seats from either so just be sure you park in the VISITOR side parking lot.

The 2000 PNG fans that can attend will have to be 2x as loud.

Huntsville will be a greater defensive challenge than LC. They will try to shut down some of those running lanes. Easier said than done against a big, physical line.

I have faith in the PN-G defensive coaches. They are going to go to work this week and correct / improve some of the issues uncovered. And the PNG players will work hard to improve.

I watched a few minutes of the Huntsville/Brenham game and I feel like our defense won’t have a problem getting pressure on the QB cause I wasn’t too impressed with their O-line. But definitely gotta load the box and contain the edges cause they do have a couple really good RB’s!
Of course, we know their defense is GREAT but I have faith BIG JACK and the boys will be able to wear them down!!

Lots of big o-lines and very speedy backs around the area this season, but we've already held our own against Laporte and LC and got the Wins. I'm thinking that this team has turned the corner, and will hold their own with anybody.

The Indians will not see any better RBs than what they have already seen vs. LaPorte and Montgomery Lake Creek. PN-G has the seen up close the speed, elusive moves, stop-on-a-dime, change of direction, and power run game of LP and MLC. We gave up some plays, but we made some stops, too. PN-G's recipie for success is to control the line of scrimmage on offense and defense, run the ball, win the TO and penalty count, and to keep playing hard for all four quarters. Here's to more improvement on defense, improved KO coverage, everyone get out of the way and let #6 (Diaz) handle the KO returns, and HANG ON TO THE BALL. As passionate fans, we always worry about what we think PN-G needs to do to win. The other teams need to step back and worry about what they need to do to stop PN-G's OL. When PN-G decides to line up and move the line of scrimmage, they can do it. Other teams will have a problem stopping the OL from opening holes and stopping PN-G's 1-2 punch of #27 and #15. GO INDIANS!

Three from my Houston crew will be attending. Is there a link for tickets. If we have 2700 seats, then you can mark me down for three and there will be 2697 left. GO INDIANS!

The link tends to post on Mondays. Make sure you follow NDN Press on facebook. There might be another of our pages that posts the links too

Very true!! LC had the TRIFECTA on offense, great QB, RB, and O-line…don’t think we’ll see another total package like that! Huntsville’s defense will be a challenge, but NO WAY they’re as good or better than SOC and most of our offense, especially the O-line has BATTLE TESTED experience going up against them!!

2024 Preview - Huntsville Hornets

Coach: Rodney Southern. Lettermen R/L: 36/24. Starters returning O/D: 8/6. 2023: 8-6 region finalist/4-2 district. Key losses: Isaiah Collins (Texas Tech).

Players to watch: LB Shiloh Jones (6-0, 220, 4.8), RB Trae’shawn Brown (5-9, 180, 4.7), TE Jerious Singletary (6-3, 230, 4.8), OL Tr’e Williams (6-3, 265), WR Savion Conteh (6-0, 170, 4.7), LB Mu’koryc Norman (5-10, 170, 4.7). Top juniors: RB David Brown (6-0, 180, 4.6), DL Isaiah Lewis (6-3, 280). Top sophomore: RB Ja’khavien Burks (5-9, 190, 4.8).
Other prospects: OL Brian Parker, WR Payton Pryor, CB Brent Carroll, CB Kenneth Scott, DL Tyler Smith, QB DeMarcus Williams, QB Austin Taylor, DE Zack Moss.

2024 notes: After a 5-5 regular season, the Hornets caught fire and rolled all the way to the regional finals before falling to eventual state champion Port Neches-Groves in a close game. Southern believes his team has a chance to be better in a tough district that now includes the state champs. Defense will be Huntsville’s calling card, led by LBs Jones (109 tackles) and Norman (80 tackles). RB Trae’shawn Brown (1,025 yards, 11 TDs rushing) had a strong sophomore debut and he’ll be joined in a deep backfield by David Brown and talented sophomore Burks. WR Conteh (29-446, 4 TDs receiving) has the deep threat ability. The one question mark for Huntsville heading into the season will be inexperience on the interior of the offensive line.
