There is a sizeable talent gap between SOC, Richmond Randle, and Iowa Colony vs. all the other teams in 5A-DII. Last year, RR had more overall talent than SOC. I'm not convinced of that this year. SOC has strong DI talent on defense. MLB Jamarion Philips, CB Mikail Trotter, two monster DTs, and a few others. On offense, SOC has another giant OL with two RBs that are quick and fast. Not big RBs, but fast like Fort Bend's Marshall's Devon Achane. If they hit the corner on PN-G, the Indians don't have anyone on our roster that can catch them. I'd like for someone to catch SOC coasting in the first three rounds of the playoffs and knock them out, but SOC has good coaches. We might not like Coach Todd, but he has a good staff. RR still has a big OL and all-world RB Landen Williams-Callis. RR can match up with SOC size-wise and talent-wise on both sides of the ball. Plus, RR has speed on the back end to run down the SOC run game. Iowa Colony has a ton of talent, too. The RR and Iowa Colony game was a shootout. RR and Iowa Colony are now 5A-D1 or 6A schools based on numbers. The Richmond and Highway 288 areas toward Angleton are growing like crazy. I would put PN-G at the 4 or 5 spot. The Indians could play with anyone else in 5A-DII. Coach Joseph would squeeze the clock and use PN-G's strengths to wear down all the others. SOC, RR, and Iowa Colony would be huge challenges. Anything could happen, and I would support my PN-G Indians until the very end, but I wouldn't complain if someone knocked off SOC in a game where the Golden Bears were sleep walking.
