If memory serves, the Comanche have endorsed the use of American Indian mascots at other Texas high schools.

RJ Scores his first td of the season

I will only be accepting Texas touchdowns scored by Roschon Johnson this week. All others will be declined. Thank you for your understanding.

Port Arthur Memorial @ Port Neches - Groves 8/26: Pre-Game and Game Discussion

New coach, lots of new faces, and taking on a very, very talented opponent in Week 0. Don't forget, our first game under Faircloth was a last second, 21-20 win over a less than stellar Barbers Hill team. The only thing that kept us alive in that game was the miracle worker himself, Dre Dunbar...

    Here we go again…

For what it’s worth, it’s a really bad idea to cause a ruckus in the Speaker’s home county, and also the district of the lone Texas House member who’s filed a gambling bill ever session for a decade or more, four months before the legislative session where you’ve hired a ton of lobbyists to...

    Varsity Scrimmage Info 8/19

Hearing PN-G won, 9-6. Field goal was a 46 yarder. Also hearing PN-G would have scored on an interception if returns were allowed.

Is Roschon Johnson the Best Backup RB in the Country?

I could write a book about the problems plaguing UT. What you see on the field is a reflection of what’s going on across the campus. I’ll keep it short. Texas A&M is on the cusp of becoming the state’s flagship university. I think the Aggies are already there, personally. The public just hasn’t...

Texas football coach refers to Roschon Johnson as “alpha” leader for Longhorns

I tried to tell his older brother UT would do this to him when he was still in high school. This is classic UT. I wish he’d transfer. Roschon’s too good of a kid for his own good sometimes.

In 1969, screen-door Jesus incited religious fervor in Port Neches

I have to throw in a plug for the Port Arthur News. Their management is actually from Mid- and South County. They know the community and understand the locals. The Enterprise is owned by Hearst. Hearst has a long history of hiring people from outside the area to work for the Enterprise, like...

In 1969, screen-door Jesus incited religious fervor in Port Neches

The Beaumont Enterprise did a front page story this week about a summer camp for PN-G’s journalism students. Interesting how all of the sudden they’re rolling out positive coverage of PN-G.

    New Girls Basketball Coach

I knew about the new volleyball coach. I understand she comes highly recommended. The community really seems to like her so far.
