How well will PN-G do in the upcoming football season?

    1. Nederland Bulldogs 2. Central Jaguars 3. PN-G Indians 4. Vidor Pirates 5. Ozen Panthers 6. Livingston Lions 7. Lumberton Raiders 8. LC-M Bears All of it's tentative, especially numbers 1-3. MCM and Central are going to be toss-ups for us. Those two games are going to be what decides our...

Please don't forget to give us your predictions for the rest of District 20-4A as well.

    Some interesting tidbits about "Cherokee"

In terms of the percussion section, it's small, but it's a start.

    Some interesting tidbits about "Cherokee"

Sort of exciting, isn't it? And to think that the whole band will be making strides like this in the coming years. I'm just mad that my time in the band is limited.

Purple & White Spring Game Videos

Good. Maybe these videos can serve as a little psychological warfare. We can mess with their heads a little bit. :)

How well will PN-G do in the upcoming football season?

I think our first (and hopefully last) loss will be game #3 against Texas City, even though we'll have the homefield advantage.

    Some interesting tidbits about "Cherokee"

I think we gained a snare or two, but we still have four base drums and a quint. But, having spoken with some of the middle school directors, the percussion section will increase in size considerably for the 2010-2011 school year. PNMS has a nice amount of 7th grade percussionists this year and...

    Some interesting tidbits about "Cherokee"

Approximately 20-25 members. The only section that will have a net loss is the tuba section, and that is only because one of the sophomores is moving. All other sections will either have a net gain or have the same amount of players as this year. The most notable gain will be in the trumpet...

Now if we can just find that blasted train horn....

    Some interesting tidbits about "Cherokee"

Yes, as a matter of fact, they did. The tempo changed in the 90's, and the volume changed when the band started shrinking about five years ago, long before Mr. Wells or Ms. Beckcom were associated with our band. This year's marching show had absolutely nothing to do with either the volume or the...

How well will PN-G do in the upcoming football season?

That's what I'm talking about. For the most part, I'm thinking the same thing, but I think we'll beat Lumberton and both Crosby and Central will be a toss-up. As far as Mid-County Madness goes, I think we all know that it's unpredictable. We will have a home-field advantage this year, but you...

How well will PN-G do in the upcoming football season?

Alright, we've seen the spring game and many have attended the practices. I think everyone agrees that Coach Faircloth and his team are doing a great job and that they have made some much-needed changes. I know it's still a little early to start making predictions, but which district games do...

    Purple vs. White Game

We played it in succession several times. Thanks, guys. Everyone was excited about the prospect of a new athletics program, and I think it showed, but that's coming from a guy who was in the middle of the band playing, so maybe I'm just a little biased. ;D

    Some interesting tidbits about "Cherokee"

Nothing has been changed, squaw. Caravan was part of a marching show. It had no effect on the way Cherokee is played. If you don't believe me, go look up the 1999 Brazosport playoff game on YouTube (YouTube won't let me embed it on this site, sorry). No traditions have been changed.

    Some interesting tidbits about "Cherokee"

It was part of the marching show. We still played our Cherokee in the stands and during the Marching I. The marching show was a jazz show, the original Cherokee is part of a jazz song (Caravan, I believe it was from the 50's), and it was done because it's the original Cherokee and because Mr...

    Some interesting tidbits about "Cherokee"

Some of you may remember that this song was part of our marching show this year. We were doing a jazz song and it was chosen specifically because it is the original Cherokee.

    PNG first movie night

I believe the jumbotron is open as a fundraiser resource to all of PN-G's various organizations, and it's a great idea.

    Purple vs. White Game

I didn't know that. This is a fitting way to end the year for our senior drum majors.

Something fans should know about indians that are still playing football

Good to see a local boy make big. But, then again, this is PN-G. That sort of thing is a common occurrence.
