There are some good size D linemen coming up from JV. Also remember that alot of these players that are coming up still have alot of growing to do. I look for our D to be strong next year with the players that are returning and those moving up. Our O line will be fine. Nicotre returning, Reasons (a Soph) big kid, Stasinos (spelling) there are some other big kids on JV who could fit in. I also heard a big Soph kid from Vidor may be moving back to PNG in January. He was a guard over there. I look for next year to be a good year. I see us having alot more speed on the D and on the O as well. I wonder if BF will have spring ball again next year.

This offseason the Indians coaches need to work on tackling and containment of the corners. These 2 areas we really struggled all year with. We also need to get stronger.

How about kickoff defense? If we're going to give it to them at the forty why not just kick it out of bounds and move on?

Or onside kick it every time and take your chances. ;D The way we score if you get one or two it is just as good as a turnover.

The kickoff coverage was horrible this year. I agree we should have just done an onside kick every time. That way we have a decent shot at getting the ball without much downside. We gave the other team the ball around the 40 anyway. Special Teams need a lot of improvement. Indians haven't had a good special teams unit in a long time.

Our D should be strong next year with the returns we have coming back. The off. wie will see if the off. scheme changes due to a difffer QB and use his talent . Whatever it is , it will be excuted the way the coache want it to go! Have a Great offseason JRS, SOPH. FROSH, gain weight , work with the weights, , run to build up your endurances, you will see the results of your hard work nexts fall! !

I think we will see more zone read options for the QB but the scheme will not change.

the Peveto kid is an athlete and was/is a QB. Moved last spring then starts Varsity as a Soph. in the playoffs - gotta be good. Miller kid is good too I hear.

We better find kids to step up cause there are a lot of spots to fill in key positions, i.e. QB.,LB,Oline, Dline and develop a kicking game which was non existant this year.

gotta mention this though, heard a few players were not making the grades this year, so one thing for sure they gotta hit the books, seek help, tutoring etc. Hate to see a great atletic sitting on the sidelines. So the coaches should keep an eye on the grades and get the help they need. I for one see the study hall they go too and trust me , most are chattting it up , fooling around instead of actually studying . Maybe the community as a whole that are well dndept in some subject can help the one that needs it. JMHO

Yes, I have heard that we may have some players that have grade issues. I know many districts manage to have few or no players out for grades. I don't remember any of our starters being out for grades for football but could be wrong. The two districts I have taught in players come around on Friday and the teacher fills out a grade report so there are no suprises and time to bring the grade up.
