If this guy would be a possibility he would be a no brainer. He's definitely a keeper.badndn said:Go get Jeff Traylor (Gilmer)!

However, Jim Bob Helduser is a curious option that probably few have considered. A starter on the 1975 state championship team , Helduser has primarily been an offensive line coach in the college ranks with a 5 year stint as head coach at SWT (20–34–1 record, 5-5-1, 2-9, 4-7, 4-7, 5-6). He would bring college level coaching experience to a program that is looking for a new direction, but doesn't have a proven track record of turning high school programs around. It would be great if he could return as the offensive line coach if the head coaching position doesn't pan out for him.

A minor clarification about Jim Bob is that he did not start for the 1975 championship team. He started for the 1974 team that lost in the semifinals against Brazoswood when David Hodge ran back two interceptions for touchdowns to beat PNG 14-7. He and MB graduated in the same class of 1975.

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever. -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
