What a buzz with the election results.

I am a McCtchean supporter. I am surprised at the comments made to me by people that voted Lefort.

Same situation as Burnett - stay long enough piss enough parents off - your gone - especially in small town America. I was shocked at the people I talked to yesterday at the poll and via the phone that voted Lefort. LOTS were teachers and parents of football players. I CAN NOT believe that any teacher would vote for anyone other than McCurtchen with the way he has supported them the last 15 + years.

I am glad I have no children in the district

Without names, of course, what complaints did the parents of football players voice?

Sure, one said their kid was punished by having to do stands with a heavy chain around their neck - sounds ridiculous - many others said their kid didn't get to play even when we were way ahead on points, probably a valid point

One parent told me that their kid was 3rd on the depth chart - kid ahead of him had a broken leg?? That was 2012.

Care to share what the teachers had to say?
I know some are unhappy that PNG ISD didn't opt in to social security a few years back--a current board member made a campaign promise to teachers that it would be done, but that person didn't deliver and has blamed it on other board members.

Any teacher that thinks SS is better than TRS isn't thinking rational - TRS fund is like the 3 largest in the US - SS not as liquid and strong.

I talked to 6/7 teachers and I couldn't tell if it was a partisan vote - Leforts wife is a teacher I think, several had Leforts sign in their yard. A couple in the Windsor Addition in particular I was shocked.

Why would you want to bite the hand that has been good to you all these years????? That would be Darren always on the teacher side. I don't get it.

Yes, I get the feeling there is an alliance forming to remove BF and manipulate the selection of our new Supt.

very sad

From I was hearing, the new super will be picked before the new board member is sworn in, so that rumor is bogus. And no one wants BF removed...so bogus again.

Karma......it comes back to you. You need to be mindful of how you treat others and what you do to others because Karma comes back and sometimes with a vengeance. It happened today with the results of this election. :)

The voters have spoken. I may not like the end result, but I respect the process and outcome. I wish Mr. LeFort well and hope that he follows in the footsteps of Darren McCutcheon, Rusty Brittain, Eric Sullivan, and Lana Parker, all of which support teachers with words, deeds, and resources; and, they support extra-curricular activities. Most important to me, they are not looking to irritate or run-off Coach Faircloth. They let the man do his job, play the best players, and, in return, he gives the ISD wins with record-setting teams. We'll see if Mr. LeFort does all of that. I'm skeptical, but the voters have spoken. Bark said it best in his post up above...stay long enough, and the parents will run-off the coach with the help of the school board....

Not too worried about Coach Faircloth. He is a bright, well-connected,and winning coach. If PN-G pushes him out the door, he will find another job easy. It won't be a facilities director or position coach at a small school. He will continue moving onward and upward. It will be PN-G that slides back to medicore results because all of the good assistant coaches will leave and the ISD will be left with assistant coaches that are worthless. Similar to the regime in 2008. Just my opinion.

Go Indians. Peace.

Not sure why some people on here are so worried about Lefort running off Faircloth, I'm pretty sure his vote still counts as one. Also, I'm fairly certain he holds no ill will against Faircloth, I've seen them conversating together not that long ago and all seemed well.

If you think that a couple of board members and several influential soreheads don't want BF gone, to avenge Matt (or use that as an excuse)and right some perceived wrongs, well can I interest you in some sandy beach property in Sabine Pass...
And, its all about control. PNG is a $45,000,000 per year enterprise. Lots of money to be made.

Do you think he paid for all of those signs on his own?

1989 Indian...Those worthless coaches that remained is what held the team together while a new coach was being persude. I can see now just how informed you really are. Seems to me your nowhere in the know. You have no idea what those remaining coaches went through while in limbo; One thing they did do was to keep the athletic department on tract so when coach Faircloth came in the team had been working out and continued to look forward to give their all to PNG athletics.
