G-P has two sites. Come and talk with the big dogs. http://stexfootball.proboards.com/index.cgi http://www.txfootball.com/gpwildcats Or just stay in your comfort zone on here.

Oh, I know. I have an account on one of them. I've just always found it interesting that the G-P sites don't have the following this one does, as your frequent visits here further indicate. Then again, I guess the cyberspace following reflects the real following. ;) ;D

We are in a rebuilding mode, new coach, new system, new QB, lots of changes, but like PNG, GP has a lot of tradition and I think we will be fine. Will we go 10-0 and 3-4 deep into the playoffs? I certainly hope so. Will we go 2-8 and be home for the playoffs. I really doubt that. One thing for sure, I will be there supporting the team win or lose.

I do have to admit that the PNG game has special meaning to me, and I really hope that the Wildcats come out on top. Will it be the end of the world if they lose? NO!

I do wish the Indians a good season, 8-2 would be fine with me, the 2 losses to the Wildcats and Nederland!

It's Port Neches-Groves, not 'Port Neches Grove'. Can you ask him to update the school name?
They can call us whatever they wan"t before the game .After the can of whoop-ass we're bringing they will call us winners 1-0 :duel: :guns:
LOL, as far as I see it wasn't intentional. I am not going to fix something so minuscule. If you need something fixed the website is http://www.g-pisd.org/GPHS/default.htm Feel free to contact who you want to have anything changed. Like I said before this year G-P is starting from scratch and installing a whole new system on both sides of the ball. G-P will be the underdogs this year and will start off slow due to the new O and D learning curve. So bring the Whoop-ass and all the fans you want, we G-P expect to be the underdogs!

Go ahead. Leave it the way it is. PN-G patrons love it when our name is misspelled or mispronounced.

Because when we leave, they always know the correct form. ;)

How far did G-P go in the playoffs last year?

I believe they got knocked out in the 2nd round to Corpus Christi Calallen.

No offense to G-P, but a team with a new coach that lost some key players and lost in the second round of the playoffs last year is ranked #26 in the state? Furthermore, there are no 20-4A teams in the top 25?

Lets remember that PNG was coming off a losing season when Coach Faircloth lead us to an undefeated regular season. Coach A comes from the same coaching circle that Faircloth does, so I expect GP to be successful early under him. GP will be a tough, well coached team this season. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking GP will be an intimidated, weak sister football team coming to Rosenberg. They will be motivated to make an early statement under a new coach. I know this will be a big game for the head coaches, who have been friends for years and would love to have bragging rights in their first meeting. I expect both teams to well prepared and I expect another hard fought, close ballgame. I can't wait for August!

That's not what I meant. I have no doubt that they'll be tough. I just found it surprising that they're higher than teams that went further in the playoffs.
